Wire Fraud Warning

Please read carefully before sending any funds related to a rental or purchase transaction.

IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. Wire fraud and email hacking are increasingly common in real estate transactions. Criminals may attempt to impersonate your agent, broker, title company, or landlord and send fraudulent wiring instructions that divert your funds to an account they control. TO PROTECT YOURSELF: 1. NEVER trust wiring instructions sent via email. Email accounts are routinely hacked. 2. ALWAYS verify wiring instructions verbally by calling a known, trusted phone number (not one provided in the email). 3. CONFIRM the recipient's name and account number with the title company, landlord, or property manager before sending any funds. 4. BE SUSPICIOUS of any last-minute changes to wiring instructions, urgent requests, or instructions to wire to a different bank. 5. If you are asked to wire deposit or rent funds, call Ariel Steinberg directly to verify the instructions before sending. IF YOU SUSPECT FRAUD, immediately contact your bank, Ariel Steinberg, and the local FBI office. Time is critical — funds can sometimes be recovered if reported quickly. By signing below, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this warning and agree to take reasonable steps to verify any wiring instructions you receive in connection with your rental transaction.

If you suspect fraud, contact your bank immediately and call Ariel Steinberg to verify any wiring instructions.
